Hello and Welcome to my page.  I am the Systems and Data Technician at Alliance Public Schools.

This involves a variety of duties.   The foremost duty is to maintain and upload the data from our system to NDE.  This process is done several times a year and is time consuming.  It is a process that requires our system to be up to date and correct and the information must be all put into our system in certain formats.  Then, the information is exported to a database, checked and worked with before making into the correct format to upload to the state.  In addition, I do ba
ckups of our servers, currently maintain the website, manage accounts for technology, create forms for use in PowerSchool and update them, manage and upload photos and other items to PowerSchool and try to keep staff informed as to changes and updates on PowerSchool, help parents access PowerSchool and try to keep up to date with training.   I try to trouble shoot and support staff as needed to my capabilities and pass them on to others with more expertise as necessary.  I like to try to find a solution for problems, and research issues.   These are a few things that I do.   It may sound nerdy and boring, but I love it!

I really enjoy my job. It is constantly changing and evolving. I am  excited to be a part of the ever changing technology.   Our world is becoming more and more "tech" oriented and I hope to be a part of the learning process.

Before I started this position, I worked at the Special Education Office within APS, which followed many years of being employed as a Paralegal.  I have three adorable grandchildren, Brookyn, age 11, Chloe, age 8 and Elijah, 9 months.   My four children are all grown, so I now "mother" two yorkshire terriers at home, Sissy and Pixie.   I enjoy bike riding, reading, friends and family, and collect Wizard of Oz items!
